Kansas City Chiefs Acknowledge Domestic Violence Allegations Involving Wide Receiver Rashee Rice

The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment Wednesday night indicating they are aware of claims of abuse made public in social media posts by a former girlfriend of player the athlete and were in communication with the NFL.

The organization omitted the name of Rice specifically in their statement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice by name, posted a set of images on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.
